The monsoon arrives in Maharashtra

The news broke shortly after I published the post about India's water crisis..

"Maximum City" Mumbai had 25 days left of the water supply in its reservoirs when the monsoon finally showed yesterday, and so the city got a reprieve. What would have happened if the monsoon had continued to dawdle? [shrugging]

It's said that lemmings don't willingly run to their death. It's just a typical stampede situation where the ones at the back of the pack keep running when the ones at the front encounter a cliff, and so almost the entire pack gets pushed off the cliff.
