Breaking News: Al Masdar News (AMN) adds a time stamp to a report!

All right Pundita let's not hop up and down on the couch to celebrate. But not only did AMN provide the time the report was filed, the time stamp is comprehensible, not like ones at some other publications that fool around with GMT+X hours, etc. Not only that, the report at AMN also identifies where it was filed so I don't have to guess which world zone the time stamp pertains to!

Now that's progress!

As to the report itself, it comports with the news I passed along yesterday in The Trap, but I'm glad to learn the situation is still holding in favor of the Syrian Army.

East Aleppo remains under siege after jihadist offensive

Aleppo, Syria (5:45 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) launched a major offensive last week to lift the three-week long siege on the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo City.

This southern Aleppo offensive would yield a significant number of gains for Jaysh Al-Fateh, as they seized several sites from the Syrian Armed Forces, including the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project, Al-Ramouseh District, and Aleppo Artillery Academy.

Despite making great progress in the southern sector of Aleppo City, Jaysh Al-Fateh has been unable to resupply the eastern neighborhoods of the provincial capital.
The reason Jaysh Al-Fateh cannot resupply east Aleppo is due to the Syrian Arab Army’s fire control over the main road that leads from the Al-Ramouseh District to the eastern neighborhoods.

As long as the Syrian Arab Army and their allies maintain control over the 3000 Housing Project, the jihadist rebels will be unable to use Ramouseh Road due to security concerns.
