Aleppo, Syria (9:30 A.M.) – On Friday morning, the U.S. backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) released the first images of the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) fleeing the key town of Menbeij in northeast Aleppo.
The Syrian Democratic Forces were able to take full control of Menbeij last week after a two month long battle that ended with the Islamic State’s mass exodus from this imperative city
With the liberation of Menbeij, the Syrian Democratic Forces will now turn their attention to one of the Islamic State’s last strongholds in the Aleppo Governorate: Al-Bab.
Al-Bab is situated on a large plateau in eastern Aleppo that has long been under the control of the Islamic State.

[shaking her head] The Kurds and U.S coalition backers should have thought this out before they launched the final onslaught. And from the photo that's probably more than 200 IS fighters, which I think was the original estimate of the fighters they let walk -- or I see let drive. They let them take their vehicles!
So where are all those vehicles heading? Not to Al-Bab by any chance?
So is the U.S. going to make the Syrian Army deal with the mess? Then send in photographers to show the world heart-rending scenes of 'civilians' under Syrian and Russian bombardment? The civilians being the families of IS fighters, the ones the SDF let exit from Manbij.
I wouldn't put it past them. All right Pundtia don't blow a gasket. Look at that; I'm so upset I misspelled my own name.
Speaking of spelling, I don't know why Leith is spelling Manbij that way. It's a little late in the day to start correcting the spelling of that city, if he's giving the right spelling now. Anyhow. There are two more photos of the exodus with the AMN report.
Have a nice day.
