Don't listen to Putin. He knows Jedi mind tricks.

Just because animals trust him, 

he's genuinely religious,

and he has a good sense of humor,

don't believe a word he says. Listen to him and you're in danger of becoming reasonable about foreign relations matters, and Americans couldn't have that, now could we?

There's a statement he makes in the above compliation of Putin humor that he doesn't mean to be funny; he says we shouldn't let the dead grab us by the cuff. This from a national leader whose top job is to joust with the ghosts of old wars, to deal with old hatreds that won't die. But America is such a young country to be ruled by a Cold War past. How this came to happen is an awful, awful tragedy.
