But as long as Obama threw them bones, these self-termed feminists didn't care how many peoples his war machine massacred, didn't care how much chaos he created in the world, didn't care that his war policies led to genocides, didn't care how much hatred he sowed against Americans, didn't care that his envy of Vladimir Putin's popularity around the world so unhinged him he tried to destroy Russia.
As an American woman I have nothing else to say about the Women's Anti-Trump March on Washington on January 21, beyond noting that it was an exercise in hypocrisy so horrific it verged on the demonic.
*********
My daughter asked me what they were marching for as she couldn't figure it out. Truth is, I am not sure myself.
ReplyDeleteThe papers in Toronto are carrying all kinds of reports of Canadians who were denied entry into the US by Border Security when they stated their purpose of their trip was to 'march on Washington'. These people are outraged to be denied entry to the US and our media is just as outraged by their so-called plight. Some days I feel like I have fell through the looking-glass.
K'Shoshana -- The Women's March was a Soros op. Here, show this article to your daughter so she can learn what was actually going on with the march. It was published in the NYT:
ReplyDeletehttp://tinyurl.com/j5nqmvp
"Billionaire George Soros has ties to [56] 'partners' of the Women's March on Washington
What is the link between one of Hillary Clinton’s largest donors and the Women’s March? Turns out, it’s quite significant"
The article is by a (genuine) Liberal feminist who is also a Muslim American who voted for Trump. She nailed the march with these words:
"[T]he 'Women’s March' is an extension of strategic identity politics that has so fractured America today, from campuses to communities. On the left or the right, it’s wrong."
With regard to the denial of entry for Canadians, this is the first I'm hearing about it. But if I had to take a guess, it would be that the border officials got word that a large number of 'black bloc anarchists' were trying to enter the US (from Europe via Canada and/or directly from Canada) to cause serious violence at the Trump inauguration. As it was, some of them (probably the US 'branch' did manage to wreak havoc outside the police perimeters in Washington during the inauguration, but they were pretty well contained.
You might remember they caused a lot of damage in 2010 in Ottawa at a G20 summit.
Here's a backgrounder on those anarchists, although it's a little too sympathetic to them for my taste. I suspect that some of the factions in the anarchist movement -- the ones who show up at protests -- are not anarchists, and that they're actually trying to make genuine anarchists look bad.
