What does grabbing Syria's oil resources have to do with fighting ISIS, Gen. Votel?

sigh. It's so insulting to have to listen to people who know they are telling you baldfaced lies and know that you know you can't do a damn thing about it.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:30 P.M.) – The U.S. Spokesperson for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS, Brett McGurk, stated on Tuesday that the U.S. has not completed their mission in Syria.

“We are in Syria to fight ISIS. That is our mission and our mission isn’t over and we are going to complete that mission,” McGurk told a forum in Washington.

McGurk’s comments came before U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his desire to withdraw the U.S. forces from Syria.

Meanwhile, the commander of the U.S. Central Command, General Joseph Votel, harbored different feelings regarding a potential withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria.

According to Votel, the U.S.’ next steps following the defeat of ISIS will be “stabilizing these areas, consolidating gains, getting people back into homes, [and] addressing long term issues of reconstruction.”
