"Soleimani embraced in death by Imam Husayn ibn Ali, the great martyr of Karbala"
Quote and copy of painting are from Charles Cameron's meditation on martyrdom for Zenpundit. (I can't make out the name of the artist.)
It's likely that Qassem Soleimani would've eventually died during a military operation -- it was the kind of death he welcomed. As such he would've died a hero and a martyr. But death by treachery while he was on the way to a mass funeral to honor the fallen -- now he's an Immortal.
