Larry's article opens with these words: 

"I will admit up front that I had no idea how extensive NATO’s presence in the Ukraine was until this week." 

Given Larry's extensive high-level contacts in the Western intelligence and defense fields, I find it scary that he was in the dark for so long. But he can join the club; most of us didn't know, I didn't know.  Could be that Scott Ritter sounded the alarm.
