Good luck, Venezuela

Enough Venezuelans woke up to defeat the referendum yesterday on giving Chavez new powers and scrapping term limits on his rule. The national electoral authority said early today that the "No" camp won 51 percent of the vote compared to the "Yes" camp's 49 percent. So Venezuelans hang onto their democracy by the skin of their teeth, at least for the present.
