Here's what is on the way:
  • Angela Merkel's political career - finished
  • Francois Hollande's political career - on the ropes
  • Schengen Agreement - in tatters
  • "Remain" voters in Britain - thanking their lucky stars they were outvoted
  • Barack Obama - reality interferes with his plan to make racism America's focus in presidential election
  • Bashar al-Assad - suddenly with more friends in Europe than he can count
  • Vladimir Putin - suddenly with more friends in Europe than he can count
  • Hassan Rouhani - suddenly with more friends in Europe than he can count
  • Haider al-Abadi - asks for and gets another 100 billion USD from NATO governments
  • Tayyip Erdogan - asks EU for a mountain of gold
  • Turkey's top current and former generals - ????
  • Muammar Gaddafi's ghost - laughing its head off
I'm continuing to update my original post on the massacre (filed 10:10 PM EDT, July 14), with the last update at 11:33 PM 1:50 AM EDT July 15, rather than putting up new posts on the topic.

By now it's in the headlines that the driver of the truck, who was killed by police, was a resident of Nice, France born in Tunisia; not clear to me from reports whether he is actually a French citizen although AFP's police source referred to him as French-Tunisian. All that will be clarified shortly.
