At least 20 people were killed and more than 100 were injured when an active shooter unleashed gunfire near Mandalay Bay late Sunday night, according to police.
Two off-duty officers are also believed to be among the dead, Metro said. A shooter is also dead.
The shooting broke out on the Las Vegas Strip around 10 p.m. [local time] during the Route 91 Festival. Hundreds of people were in attendance for a concert in a parking lot in the area during the event.
Police are searching for a woman named Marilou Danley who is "a companion of the shooter," and two vehicles: a Hyundai with the license plate 114B40 and a Chrysler Pacifica Touring with the license plate 19D401.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple shots, up to 10 rounds of gunfire, from an elevated position near the Mandalay Bay Casino and Hotel.
Metro police on scene confirmed one suspect was down just before midnight.
A Southern California police department said an off-duty officer was shot during the attack.
