Fellow Americans! If we get hit again don't call 911, call Moscow for help!

"France is part of a coalition of 65 countries that are bombing Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq ..."

That's from the previous Sputnik report I linked to.

Naw, I can't believe it. 65? But if the number is correct, I have two questions:

HOW LONG has this 65 member coalition been bombing Islamic State?

For crying out loud the Russians haven't even been bombing for 2 months, and look at the damage they've done to Islamic State and Nusra Front and the rest of the alphabet soup.

The U.S. has come to excel at building coalitions.
Russia has come to excel at focusing on a task.

The latest from Sputnik, 10:15 local time today:

Russian Air Forces Complete 141 Sorties, Strike 472 Terrorist Facilities

Russian Aerospace Forces have carried out 141 sorties over the last 48 hours, striking 472 terrorist targets in Syria, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Gen.-Maj. Igor Konashenkov said Monday.

“Russian Aerospace Forces planes have completed 141 sorties and delivered 472 strikes against terrorist facilities in the provinces of Aleppo, Damascus, Idlib, Latakia, Hama, Homs, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor,” Konashenkov said.

According to Konashenkov, over the past two days the Russian warplanes have continued to actively engage in reconnaisance and to launch airstrikes at the specific targets of terorist groups operating in Syria.

After the combat mission all Russian planes have safely returned to the Hmeymim airbase.

Russia has been launching airstrikes against the IS on Assad’s request since September 30. A US-led international coalition has also been conducting an aerial campaign against the militants, but without approval of Damascus or the United Nations.
