Long, long, long before neo-Sufi fusion music emerged in Jordan; long, long, long before Latin, jazz and rock musicians showed up in Senegal to create mbalax Afro fusion music, diaspora and invader populations from the Middle East and North Africa were merging their musical traditions with those they found in Mediterranean and Central/South Asian regions. Here, selections from Sephardic Jewish music and Pakistani Sufi music. Notice similarities?
