In addition to the statement issued by PM David Cameron's office earlier this afternoon, there is an unconfirmed report from an unnamed Egyptian official that it's looking as if a bomb exploded on board the Russian airliner that crashed in the Sinai. See AP report, updated 2:45 PM ET; it doesn't mention the Egyptian statement, which a TV reporter speculated was made to Cameron's office about findings after the Egyptian authorities examined data from the flight recorder.
Meanwhile, IS shot off its mouth again today, claiming again it brought down the plane. If the investigation does point to sabotage this will be the frst case in recorded history of a jihadi terror outfit killing itself off with its tongue.
